PROTO Scooters is a company founded in 2008 in San Diego, California. It is the first company in the world that produced freestyle scooters.

The founder, Andrew Broussard, started from a simple idea: to emulate the freestyle tricks belonging to other action sports using the scooter.

In the early 2000s, there weren’t many scooters available on the market and they weren’t even performing enough. Andrew therefore decided to modify all the parts of a pre-assembled scooter to find out what and how to improve.

PROTO, to date, is one of the top brands in the world of scootering and has won several awards for the innovation it has brought into this discipline.
